Has democracy outlived its purpose?

Recently Indian prime minister gave a statement, “Rahul Gandhi is Natural leader of UPA3”. This statement left me with number of questions. We live in the nation which is democratic. The constitution of India guarantees equality of opportunities. Then what qualities of Rahul Gandhi make him the natural leader of UPA? On what grounds PM discriminates Rahul from others? Equality in India remains Utopia and it is proved by none other than PM himself. Is it because Rahul is born in Gandhi family and so his destiny is to become PM of India?
Political dominance of few families continues in India since independence. In fact I think this the failure of democracy. Greek scholars define democracy as ‘Rule of many ignorant’ and rightly so. We can clearly see that people who deserve the chance to lead India are not even in the race. The wiser men are always thrown out of political system and we are left with donkeys to rule.
According to Plato, the best state is the one which is ruled by a person who is reluctant to govern rather than eager to govern. This can tackle the problem of corruption, but things never happen in that way. Usually people who strive for power come to the government.

No doubt democracy is the best practicable form of government. But it is true when there is real democracy in practice. The Democratic system in India has some inherent problems. It doesn’t offer equality of opportunities. There must be more inclusive form of democracy which will enable even common man to participate actively. We must try and propose more effective and inclusive model which will prevent NATURAL LEADERS from coming into power.

Be Positive

                     Be positive
On 15th august 1947 we got freedom. Since then a giant India is being developed gradually. What its government got in return is criticism. Not from other countries but from its own citizens. This approach of ours is the most negative and unhealthy for democratic India.
Few months ago I visited south India. I stayed there for 4-5 days. Let me tell you there is no similarity between north Indians and south Indians. The only thing they have in one common is that they are Indians. How can such diverse nation stands together in situation of crisis? I think it simply is a miracle.
The nation with 1.25 billion of population, 3,287,240 square kilometers of area, china and Pakistan as its neighboring countries is running with healthy speed of development. Is this possible without some extraordinary brains? There are worlds most talented individuals which are playing vital part in Indian government and bureaucracy. Most of time we forget such individuals. Yes, there are lots of corrupt persons in the system and they are now the integral part of it. But we cant demoralize good officers and politicians because of them. Our society respects power, not excellence or integrity. This is the most serious problem with us. Due to such perspective honest persons never get the credit that they deserves.
I request all Indians in fact to entire human fraternity to stand together and work for the cause. Be positive. Don’t be passive. Be the part of game.  As Nepolean quotes ‘The world suffers a lot not because of violence of bad people but because of silence of good people’.  No matter how we feel, let us get up and fight for our dream, dream of making this world the better place.

Delhi Rape Case

                        Delhi Rape Case
In 1857 revolt British officer talks about Rani Lakshmibai. He quotes,” Although a lady, she was the bravest and best military leader of the rebels, a man among the mutineer.” Even the British officers cant stop themselves from praising her. In the same country what is the today’s situation of women. I think very poor. I afraid to say that this is the land of great Swami Vivekananda.
After Delhi gang rape I came to know what cruelness is. After this event entire India came together. Prayed for her, fought for justice. Government acted very sensibly on this matter. GOI appointed J S Verma committee for dealing crimes against women. Cabinet passed the ordinance based on Verma committee’s report.
It is very interesting to know the procedure of making of the report. J S Verma speaks about the making of the report, “we have founded our report mainly on the constitutional guarantee of equality for gender justice. We have said most often an offence of rape is not entirely a sexual activity. It is a power game to show male is powerful. They think they are the superior and that is the negation of the constitutional right to equality”.
Considering above factors they made following recommendations in the report
1.      Review AFSPA(armed forces special power act) to punish sexual offenders
2.      Electoral reforms are must for the gender justice
3.      Create a new constitutional authority to ensure education and non discrimination for women and children.
We have to stand behind women, we have to fight for them. It will make them feel secure. If we want to stop crimes against women, if we want to solve this problem, we must go to root of all. Our perspective to look towards women itself is wrong.  Thoughts leads to an action. If somehow we can purify the thoughts the action will be pure. We have to change our mentality. To do so we want the quality education, which can make us better person. It should be full of ethics and values. We can control the crimes by using harsh laws up to some extent, but if we want to cure the cancer of mind, we will have to use chemotherapy of pure thoughts.
Now for those who believe in god (so called). Where were the 33 crore of them when gang rape in Delhi was taking place. Why didn’t he came up with “SARRI” and “SUDARSHAN CHAKRA” as he did when Draupadi was being treated brutally by Kaurava’s. These are just imaginary stories for entertainment. There is nothing like god in existence. It just a myth. We are the only who are responsible for our own destiny.

Axis of evil

Axis of evil
Iran & North korea are the real threat to world peace at the moment. Both trying to improve their nuclear power.
In particular North korea is more dreadful of them. Their supreme leader Kim Jong Un is the real worrying factor. He is very young and not mature enough to handle the entire nation. Every now and then he threatens the world. Even USA is warned and being told they will be destroyed with intercontinental nuclear missile. Concentrating entirely on nuclear power and forming new weapons, they are completely ignoring welfare of their people. According to report published, few thousands of people in north korea died due to hunger in this year only. It is a very serious thing. It is a responsibility of ruler to look after his nation. Whole world should give attention to this, otherwise north korea will surely end up with doing some irreversible damage to world peace.
Now let us talk about Iran. Iran is a oil producing country. In addition to that they have strait of hormuz as its bargaining power. 20% of total worlds oil is being transported through that strait. If Iran blocks that strait there may be sudden hike in oil price. For the time being we don’t have alternate source of oil. What world can do is “NEGOTIATION” with them. Recently Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei rejects talk offer with G5+1. They are playing with world like anything.
We must talk about president George w.Bush’s state of union address of 2002. At that time he called IRAN,IRAQ and NORTH KOREA  as a axis of evil. In his speech he quoted,” State like these and their terrorist allies, constitute an axis of evil, arming to threaten the peace of the world. We must admire president Bush, what he told 11 years back is happening right now. The world should stand as a whole and must fight against terrorism. And must put pressure on those countries to act more patiently.

Problems in educational system of India

PROBLEMS IN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF INDIA

India is one of the biggest democratic country in the world with population of almost 125 corers. To manage the educational system of such a huge nation is really a challenging job. Everybody is talking about the changing the educational system. They are coming up with their own theories and architecture. Almost all of them are expertise in the educational field (so called). But none of them wants to know what students want, in which area they are interested in. Nobody takes our opinion. This expertise centric educational system is the biggest problem in India. That’s the reason why most reputed educational institute in India IIT got the 317th position in world. Most of the experts are having their own educational institutions so they suggest the changes to government according to their convenience. They are only interested in there own benefits. I think this is the biggest problem in front of Indian democracy. The problem like poverty, economical inequality and the most important is corruptions are due this present educational system. The only target is to earn money and institutions are preparing student for it with all possible ways. Nobody is interested in ethics, values.
Yes, the percentage literacy is been improved in India after independence, but  when question of higher education comes our limitations comes in picture with bang. Being 100% literate should not be goal of our country. Student should get quality of education. Taking all these aspect into consideration, I decided to propose the educational structure which is …………………..
We go right from beginning of student life, primary education. The more rich people gets better educational facilities and poor people gets poor facilities. Few parents admit child in private schools. Other goes in government schools. Now is this that innocents child’s mistake that he born in poor family ? The seed of inequality comes in action for the first time in human life and it continues forever. So their should be a common syllabus all over India until 10th standard. The only difference maybe the regional language’s subject. That means all will learn CBSE syllabus which will be the big confidence booster for student from poor family. Then they can work at their best and due to this true talent comes into picture from primary level only.
Now we will move to next phase of student’s life that is higher secondary education. There should be three branches 1.Arts-science 2.science-arts 3.commerce-arts. The names of branches will sound very strange but we will discuss on them. Science-arts branch will include subject which are present in ongoing science branch, but it will include 2 subjects from arts. The choice will be of student. It will help student to work on subject of his interest. Because I don’t think student from science are hopeless in arts, some them have shear talent, which stays hidden forever. Now after higher secondary education  student will get choice to join any course.BE, BA, BSC according to his interest. Because he had learnt science as well as few subject from arts. Due to this students will not be forced to join particular course only.
How can society expect best from student? Because lots of us are been forced to our respective courses,  in which we are not interested in. Let the student decide the area of interest and work accordingly. Most important thing is bookish knowledge is not going to help us in battle of life. We need to interact with society. Please give us time to do so. We will work in our area of interest and produce something best for human being.
Most of the technical institute literally ask student to lie in sake of the job. For example if student is giving placement interview for job, he asked to keep quiet about his dreams. He gets the suggestion like don’t talk about GATE, M.TECH, UPSC and all. Means teachers teaches student that how to lie effectively. Is this fare? Do ethics, values have any sort of important in life? If not how  India will become superpower? Does it make any sort of sense? Should we always compromise with our values, ethics in sake of success (so called)? What is important in human life integrity, honesty or money?
